![]() ![]() The funny thing was we could not blow off the candle.Current Status: One of our favorite spots, it has gone back to dining only. Now, if they had this chocolate mousse on their menu, I would have for sure ordered it. Our waiter showed up with this delicious treat for my mom. We skipped dessert because we did not see anything that we wanted and had plans to stop for ice cream. I thought for sure it was a root veggie, but no, that was onion!! Very tasty onion. What was so unique was the sumac onion strands. There were plenty of beets for my beet loving husband. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and had a smoky flavor. Most diners in the restaurant had this dish on their table. This lam ribs were meant for two people but four people could have easily shared it with other dishes. Lamb Ribs, sumac onions + black lime yogurt, beets, hazelnut dukkah, mustard seeds The burnt orange added a little bitterness, the olives brine and the breadcrumbs a nice crunch. Very interesting pasta and as flavorful as our favorite pasta dishes from Bestia in L.A. Garganelli, octopus ragu, anchovy, burnt orange, olive, aleppo breadcrumbs Ricotta salata added saltiness and the black pepper breadcrumbs a little spice and texture. There were plenty of dill to freshen the dish.įarfalle, pork ragu, ricotta salata, black pepper breadcrumbs The saltiness of the feta was a perfect match for the sweetness of the squash. I was leaning towards kabocha and he picked that one too. I asked our waiter for his help of choosing between two breads. Kabocha bread, feta, crispy farro, oat crumble, kabocha agrodolce Unfortunately they are mostly available via special order during the month of September. ![]() I asked our waiter about it and he mentioned they were from Pennsylvania. We all loved this dish not only because of the creamy stracciatella but for the most flavorful kiwi berries. Stracciatella, kiwi berries, cayenne, parm, pickled green strawberries He was very polite and helpful throughout the service. As we sat down, our very friendly waiter brought us a shot of a pear drink and then asked whose birthday it was. When I made the reservation, I mentioned about my mom’s birthday but forgot all about it. Since my mom was in town visiting, I decided to try the place. Tail up Goat has been on my list of places to try for a long time now. The crisp apple slices provided a textural contrast. Ginger sorbet, apple, rosemary, pine nut halva The crispy potatoes were a perfect partner to the fish. Good portion of mahi cooked perfectly with a delicious smoky flavor. Grilled mahi mahi, ravigote, crispy potatoes The marinated radicchio was the highlight. ![]() This is where the value dived!! The sweet potato biscuit was moist but the tiny slice of mortadella could not possibly satisfy anybody. Sweet potato biscuit, mortadella, taleggio fonduta, radicchio It was a nice little pancake but it should have been a little bigger, portion wise. Ricotta “pancake,” ground cherry syrup, candied hazelnuts, mint I feel like it needed a little acidity to freshen up the dish. The jar of yellowfin I buy from Wegmans tastes better! The candid olive was great though. The tuna was grey and when I asked what kind of tuna it was, I was told a yellowfin. This dish filled you up but did not give you any joy. ![]() Tuna conserva, hard-boiled egg, herb salad, anchovy, candied olive I felt like for a bit more money, you are better off trying their dinner, which we have had in the past. I think my husband’s choices were a better value. Depending on what you choose, it could be a pleasant brunch or one with not much value. Tail Up Goat recently started a brunch service. ![]()
